itsgoodtobefree
wonder if that's a real or fake obi
youspinmeround
I would really recommend listening to this before buying. This is a pretty weak release. Lonesome St and Ong Ong are good but alot of the rest does not sound like Blur at all. I find it interesting that they wrote the music before the songs and Damon wrote lyrics. The music is very un Graham like and sounds more like solo Damon or the good/bad project he did glass realms
itsgoodtobefree
I think it's a great album, but it definitely sounds more like Albarn solo than Blur. My favorites are Lonesome Street, New World Towers, Ong Ong, Ghost Ship, and Pyongyang.
Vector53
I dig it but I dig most things that Albarn does...onto the Gorillaz album 4 for 2016 hype train woop woop!
BarnyButteli
I liked what I heard a lot, especially New World Towers, I Thought I Was a Spaceman, There are Too Many of Us, and Ghost Ship....I think it's a quality release.
timsimmons
I Broadcast, Spaceman, Too Many and Terracotta are my favorite. The middle of this album is great. I go back and forth on if I like New World Towers, but go Out is easily the weakest track here which says a lot. FLAC is out now you you can upgrade your rips from that transcode. tonyfranciosa
New World Towers doesn't work as the 2nd song on the record, but I like the whole thing overall. I was worried because I was lukewarm on Go Out, but this is better than Think Tank for sure.
timsimmons
Agreed. I'll probably enjoy it more than Leisure and TGE as well. The other 4 are pretty unfuckwithable so it's got a battle there.
downisthenewup87
About to tale a listen but add my voice to those who find the pricing of this outrageous. Hopefully it starts popping up on the cheap Amazon thread in a couple months.

I got the Damon Albarn album for $10 clearance at Urban Outfitters a few months after release, maybe this'll be the same. I picked up the Blur self titled for $10 clearance there, too. I just assumed it was a pricing glitch though. On a side note, got my shipping notice from Best Buy on this. Hopefully it shows up in better shape than the last record I ordered from Best Buy. duckula
If anyone is in the UK - HMV are selling an exclusive 7" of the Japanese bonus track separate from the 2LP edition. 3000 copies pressed on red vinyl. I just picked one up on my lunch break. Will post pics if anyone is interested.
surfingelectrode
So for $40 they can't even include the 7"? So lame. Cloudsbelow

numanoid
I would like a 7" as well if anyone can pick one up.
Parker
I'm surprised people don't think it sounds like a Blur album. It sounds like a natural extension of the self-titled and 13 to me.
timsimmons
I agree. But I do hear the threads of Everyday Robots. Particularly New World Towers.
youspinmeround
Its a cross between Think Tank, Good Bad and Queen and Robots With tht said, its been very hard for me to get into this
timsimmons
I love TGTB&TQ so I don't mind it sounding like that album at all.
Parker
I like Gorillaz but hated The Good, The Bad and the Queen. Still think this sounds more like Blur than either of those. It may have some traces of Think Tank in there, but I like Think Tank and think it's underrated.
youspinmeround
I liked think thank too but it wasn't really blur without graham Considering the band wrote the music and gave it to damon. ..it seems to have way more damon influence than band maybe too many slower ballad type songs for me
soundofsilver
For those of you in NYC - Free show on the 1st - Tix link, here - Link is live tomorrow http://www.converse-music.com/rubbertrackslive/blur/
YouTwo
Are the labels supposed to be the same on both discs? Or maybe it's such a subtle difference they just look the same to me.
