ratbrain
PO up at Relapse: http://www.relapse.com/zombianthology also on Zombi's Bandcamp: https://zombi.bandcamp.com/album/the-zombi-anthology and Steve Moore's quote on the new album here is very promising: “It’s a rock record – think of it as a follow up to Surface to Air. There are no techno jams or symphonic prog fantasies. No solo track interludes. It’s dark and heavy. Live drums on every song and lots of bass guitar. We have officially moved from “studio project” mode back into “live band” mode.” http://www.theprp.com/2015/02/19/news/zombi-return-to-live-band-mode-for-new-album-anthology-release-due-in-april/
kk-downing
All of this is excellent. Will be passing on the reissue since I have the original records.

Twistedshabazz
I hope that means more shows. Went from seeing zombi every week it felt like to never. kk-downing
kk-downing
Seriously. I miss being able to see these guys on a somewhat regular basis. Can't wait for this record. It's also telling that they're making Surface to Air references. Cosmos and Spirit Animal are amazing, but it's safe to say Surface to Air is their best. If we get another Night Rhythms, look out. jackshidt
Steve Moore of Zombi has a new album out, with a 500-count limited colored vinyl available now. The previews sound pretty cool to me. Quote Beloved Exile is the new studio full-length by Steve Moore, his first non-soundtrack album in over five years, and his first for Temporary Residence Ltd. A prevalent figure of the modern synth era, Moore cofounded the influential synth- prog duo, Zombi, and has scored more than a dozen feature films and TV shows, including The Guest, Crunch Time, and Mayhem. Composed and produced by Steve Moore in his home studio in upstate New York, Beloved Exile is a collaboration with internationally-renowned Tunisian singer-songwriter Emel Mathlouthi, visionary harpist Mary Lattimore, and veteran percussionist Jeff Gretz. Drawing influences from vintage ambient synth libraries, New Age/spiritual music, and menacing horror film canon, Beloved Exile proves to be simultaneously exquisite and deceptively unsettling. It is appropriate, then, that a literary treasure like John Darnielle (The Mountain Goats), would provide the song and album titles – his masterful mind most fitting to put moniker to this mercurial triumph.
