Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left also marked as free on uDiscover

Damn, missed it. It sucks that they charge $9.99 "shipping" for every single one of these — if you try to get two of the free titles, shipping is $19.98. Boo.

48 hour flash sale on some titles at Rough Trade

https://www.roughtrade.com/us/flash-sale

Some decent stuff in there.

Not Deep Discount level savings, BUT I did grab the Kate Bush “50 Words for Snow” UK reissue, as I heard the US issue on Anti is a little noisy.

They also had new records from Puss N Boots and The Courteeners for a good indie store price.

Why not?

So I was a little late to the party with this band but I love this album. The lead singer is Mat from Citizen's brother. Was going to buy it off their Bandcamp but after shipping it was like $23.00. Found a guy who had a bunch of copies on eBay with free shipping so I got mine for $12.75 + tax. It looks like the sale he had on them is over and the price jumped back up to $15.00 (might be able to send an offer of $12.75?). Either way the record is worth it:

The Flats - Nobody People

If you wanna take a listen here is their Bandcamp

Brett from Tranquility is also in the band and I'm a big fan of them. I'm going to assume The Flats aren't active anymore but this album is pretty good.

Carpark Records (Cloud Nothings, Beach House, Speedy Ortiz, etc.) is running a 21% off sale from now till May 25. No code needed, discount shown in cart:

http://store.carparkrecords.com/

The discount even seems to work on pre-orders, too — I added the Beths' new album to my cart and it took off 21%, which was pretty cool.

THANKS! snagged Melkbelly, Chaz Bundick/Mattson 2, and The Beths. Appreciate the heads up.

That Nick Drake is the box set (and is reportedly mastered AAA as opposed to digitally). I plan on listening in a moment, but just the presentation is worth $10.

I was on the fence about that one, it seems like it will take so much space on my shelf?

Rough equivalent of 3-4 single LPs stored in poly sleeves outside of their jacket. It's a little oversized for what it entails, but (I'm listening right now on headphones) it sounds pretty great. It's not dead quiet, but it's pretty quiet for a 50 year old 1/4" tape sourced remaster. I'd dive in for $10. I did any way. If you like him/ folk music in general just do it.

Thanks for the heads up on that Nick Drake! I was hoping for a reup. It's without question a no brainer at $10 if you even think you might be a fan of the album. I've heard nothing but great things about the sound of it as well.

Here's a video showing the box and its contents, it's a little bigger then necessary I guess but for the price don't second guess it....
