ksuwdboots
This hasn't been officially announced by Andrew Bird and it's not in his website's store yet (although that should happen soon), but there is a pre-order up for it on Amazon. The album was originally released in 2002 and includes early versions of "Imitosis" (from Armchair Apocrypha) and "Skin Is, My" (from The Mysterious Production of Eggs). Amazon (Black vinyl): http://www.amazon.com/Weather-Systems-Andrew-Bird/dp/B00TLXINIS/ Andrew Bird Webstore (Gold vinyl, /500): http://andrew-bird-webstore.myshopify.com/collections/music-1/products/copy-of-weather-systems-lp-re-issue-pre-order simple_torture
ksuwdboots
Also, if the Amazon listing is accurate, this will be a 2xLP (which is interesting since the original album is just 9 tracks and 34 minutes total) and the vinyl cover art is different from the CD release. simple_torture
Hey, cool, thanks for the heads-up! Maybe a second disc of demos or something? Every once in a while, "2 discs" on Amazon means one LP and the same record on CD. Hope this isn't the case!
sacredheart
I could have sworn years ago I saw this on LP but it was a blue cover with the storm, but I passed on getting it. Now I wonder what Andrew Bird album it was.
simple_torture
For the record, I got the dreaded "Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date." message from Amazon.
ksuwdboots
For the record, I got the dreaded "Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date." message from Amazon. Based on Insound's listing, it may be out 4/28. I'll update the thread title. Prestonlanes
Definitely the first time on vinyl. Andrew Bird's newsletter announced it a month or so ago. I can't wait to get this. I wish they'd press the first two Bowl of Fire records...Also the live Fingerlings series. I'm a nut for Mr. Bird though.
ksuwdboots
Based on Insound's listing, it may be out 4/28. I'll update the thread title. Nope, it's 3/31 according to e-mail to Andrew Bird newsletter, which also states 500 copies on gold vinyl via his webstore: Andrew's 2003 solo album 'Weather Systems' is now available for the first time on vinyl March 31st. The release features brand new, re-imagined artwork by Jay Ryan, and 500 copies will come in limited edition gold vinyl (available only through the webstore). OP updated as well. simple_torture
I was on the site when they were still available but didn't pull the trigger. It was $20 plus $10 shipping if you're considering looking for one second hand and want a price point.

jack8urt0n
I hate umbrellas. LOL, that's gotta be the first time these words have ever been uttered in regards to vinyl.
Waters
Gold without umbrella is back up again for sale. Went to grab one- but, $10.40 shipping? For a $20 record? WTF? I'll stay with my Amazon order- gold records always look like ass anyway.
