The ambient songs are ok too but the entire thing just isnt pleasing at all. And ten is an awful song, straight up. The flow of this record is questionable. I think some people might find a niche with this record but its just not doing anything for me coming off of Silo. Some of the guitar parts are weird throughout the record. I love certain songs, but feel mixed about others. But Youth was like that too. Some hits. Some misses. futures Posted June 9, 2015 Share Posted June 9, 2015 i'm halfway through my first listen and so far so good. it's not as easily accessible as youth was upon first listen, but i think its definitely a growth in musicianship. i really dig the atmosphere of the album. i'm sure i'll be spinning this a lot in the coming months. Because honestly youth is one of my favorite albums, and this one really seems boring as fuck to me.
