DecayToDeath
Yeah, I'll just wait for the inevitable $15 RSD 7". Hell, I'd buy it. I'm still looking for a decently-priced Pennyroyal Tea 7"! My store didn't have any on RSD last year...
psus2h
I think it's cool they are doing this. I have an OP that's in rough shape. Anyways the price might suck but I bet it'll drop to the low twenties at some point.

mxv
do you really need a greatest hits record for a band that had 3 albums? The Sex Pistols had one and they only put out one album!
webdoggy
Sound City Beaches has more copies of In Utero 3LP. Buying it from them via Amazon is cheaper than ebay currently. $25.38 plus $3.99 shipping
youspinmeround
do you really need a greatest hits record for a band that had 3 albums? I am have been thinking the same thing. The only greatest hits I listen to are Tom Petty, Billy Joel and CCR
stranaspank
Every Petty album is a greatest hits album.
DecayToDeath
do you really need a greatest hits record for a band that had 3 albums? IIRC it was the only way Courtney Love would let them release "You Know You're Right" to the public.
DecayToDeath
This is a 45 rpm version. A 1 LP 33 rpm is also coming out - http://amzn.to/1IbXj5N This compilation is about 50 minutes. It probably won't sound terrible, but I'm certain the 2xLP option will be much better.
highfives
Soundcity Beaches has been selling the 20th Anniversary for that price for at least 2 months. I wonder how many they have?
russtcb
Now I'm torn between 33 & 45... dammit. Very glad to hear it's coming for sure either way.
Sad Heart
If I'm to get this it would be the 45RPM 2xLP, but at $35, I think I'm out. I'll keep spinning my Pennyroyal Tea 7".
Eliminator Jr.
My 45rpm In Utero is Greatest Hits enough for me. Cloudsbelow, Dominic_ and caninesapien
anthemforadoomed
If it has "you know your right" on there it might be worth it. They outta press it as a single and scrap this greatest hits repress
youspinmeround
Every Petty album is a greatest hits album. You have lost your mind Great artist but many of his albums are not very good. Some great songs on many, but some total duds. Plus anything since Wildflowers is pretty weak as an entire album I would say the only really total albums I dig are st, Torpedo, Moon, Wildflowers

Got to say though I partially agree with you, his last 2 albums are just okay. Back on topic, I bet they release a You Know You're Right 45 on Black Friday this year for $17 dollars... So you can save 3 or 4 bucks and wait. LOL
Bladewillisisdead
Tom Petty's Greatest Hits album is better than most other albums in existence. Duff
