PO: Iron Maiden - The Book Of Souls

Recommended Posts

Holy shit!  $13.99 each.  Anyone who doesn't order a bunch of these for future trade bait is crazy.  Maiden is always a solid investment.

Also, I can't wait to hear this record.  I have a feeling it's going to rule.

I was lucky enough to snag the pre-order, thanks to a post in a Vinyl Facebook Group. In the past Amazon has always honored the price for one copy, but not mulitiple copies.

they don't have to honor any. they choose to because they are a huge corporation that can afford the loss in order to keep customers happy. this shouldn't be a hard concept to grasp.

Sure, they don't have to honor any, but isn't that what the "Pre-Order Price Guarantee" actually solidifies? I wouldn't be asking if that wasn't in place.

If it's a "pricing error", which it most likely is, they don't need to honor any orders. It's in their terms and has come up here a few times. Like when Amazon.ca had the Beatles mono set for $70 or something last year.

I believe you, but now I'm interested and I can't seem to find it on the Amazon terms page. Do you have a link to this particular section?

This conversation has been had at least once before. I think last time was over the MoV release of Glassjaw's Worship and Tribute.

There is a very simple get out for Amazon:

Pre-order price guarantee applies only to not yet released books, CDs, videos, DVDs, software and video games sold by Amazon.com

Doesn't say vinyl.

They have honoured at least some of the High on Fire - Luminiferous orders that were made at a silly low price and which they then removed the listing for (much like this one). They have even applied the Pre-order price guarantee to it.

It may not say vinyl, but it does say in the line below, that it applies to any item where the pre-order price guarantee is displayed on the product page.

I got my High On Fire for $8.99. It's currently selling on Amazon for $29.99. Take that how you will, but they do honor their mistakes in some instances. I'm kicking myself for not ordering this Maiden record when it was going for that ridiculous low price. I've got to keep checking the threads around here all the time. Lesson learned.
