CaptainHerbalLife
Yes. So this is leaked and out digitally but will be happening physically on TRR and with all the pressing delays, expected before end of summer (if we're lucky?) With this cover I imagine we could be looking at some nice black/white/baby blue variant(s)

thesewoodenideas
Excellent news. Really enjoyed their collaboration for Prince Avalanche.
CaptainHerbalLife
Is the film any good? Supposedly so-and-so, according to review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. I'm sure it's watchable. Prince Avalanche, at least to me, wasn't anything to write home about either, but for the scenery, actors and Explosions' sweet tunes. The soundtrack still gets a spin from time to time. throwgncpr
I thought the Prince Avalanche soundtrack was amazing--the film was OK, but I mostly enjoyed it for the aesthetic. This soundtrack wasn't quite as good, but will still be getting it. Haven't seen the movie yet, but will grab anything EITS. stillalivetui and thesewoodenideas

radiatorhums
I enjoyed the Prince Avalanche score quite a bit. I see no reason why I won't pick this up as well! Been meaning to watch Manglehorn, but it's real low priority for me. Knowing the score was done by people I enjoy might bump up it up a bit on my watch list. Xsjado
$21.85 for a $22LP to ship to France...
azvd
Ended up ordering it in conjunction with the Inventions EP to combine shipping. I recognize EitS has been slowly losing their sparkle as they softened their sound and I don't expect this one to go anywhere else.
fish
I appears that they've already sold 300 of the 500 overnight. So these are moving quick as most EITS stuff does. Also the site says "MAIL ORDER EXCLUSIVE! THIS ITEM IS LIMITED AND WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IN RETAIL SHOPS!" which is a little differenet for them with the standard black vinyl
lexicondevil
I wasn't that into the Prince Avalanche soundtrack, but I had to get this because EITS is involved. Really looking forward to a new EITS record on their own. Maybe I don't like David Wingo?

lexicondevil
david wingo is great. That only confirmed my thoughts about him. It's not terrible, by any means. I think I just want to hear EITS doing their thing, because I like what they do. Wingo seems to temper the fire(works) in their music and I miss that. thesewoodenideas
Grabbed the blue streak version. $35 shipped to UK. 500 is a very low number for EITS. Even 2000 of the black seems low. The Prince Avalanche soundtrack had a much bigger pressing I think.
morfiend
Grabbed this earlier. Thanks for posting.

The Prince Avalanche soundtrack had a much bigger pressing I think. Frankly, it's not that good of an album, at least separate from the movie. And I think TRL realizes that. I've only listened to it once but it definitely didn't grab my attention the way PA did. It's way more low-key, ambient backgroundish. The Prince Avalance OST tells a story on its own. There definitely are some gems on it though. Just less so. Mostly I had to buy because I'm such a completionist and I love EITS. Reckon I'll grow more into it. CaptainHerbalLife
It's available through the new EITS store as well. Seems those copies are still from that same /500 pressing. http://explosionsinthesky.merchline.com/products/manglehorn-an-original-motion-picture-soundtrack

Seems those copies are still from that same /500 pressing. http://explosionsinthesky.merchline.com/products/manglehorn-an-original-motion-picture-soundtrack Shipping is still cheaper at TRL with media mail. Just ordered a copy because of completionist reasons too.
voltagedrop
Just got an email from TRL stating that these are still in queue for production (since July). Looks like these won't ship until well into the new year.
