fizio59 Posted August 23, 2015 Share Posted August 23, 2015 Loma Prieta were one of my favorite bands years ago when I was into screamo/punk a lot. I really dig all stuff from the beginning of the band. From 2006 to 2010 they put out a noticeable amount of albums and EPs: - Our LP Is Your EP - Matrimony - Last City - Dark Mountain - Life/Less For me these are, each one in its own way, masterpieces for this genre. Then I.V. came out and I honestly could not really get into it from the first listen to the 20th. And now the same feeling with the new album.. IMO they lost a big part of their own authenticity and I can't find any innovation/evolution in there anymore. The new track riminds me bands like Raein and La Quiete with those chorus but it doesn't reach their level at all. So basically to say I will pass on this.
