lexicondevil
Got mine from Amazon today. Wow! So far, so frickin' beautiful. Packaging is tops and the records sound warm and tight. This will be known as one of the most important jazz records to come out in the aughts and even some decades before.
Parker
All three of my discs definitely sound fine! Also, to be honest, it's really amazing how much of a difference it feels like when you're waiting ~30 mins to flip the side (as opposed to 15-20). On many occasions have I gotten up early to switch the side to note there's still a song (or at least part of a song) left. I can't detect any issues either and my side 1 sounded amazing. (shrugs). And I love how long the sides are. I love being able to just drop the needle and listen. Especially since so many records these days have close to ten minute sides sometimes, which seems ridiculous. I hate it when I find out a 45-minute 10-12-track album is getting pressed on 2xLP with 2-3 songs on each side leaving like an inch and a half of dead wax. At least make it 3 sides and etch the D side or something, maybe?
timsimmons
Id rather have more dead wax in that case. Less chance for IGD
SE7EN
Agree with the positive comments... Packaging: great, sound quality: awesome, music: amazing. This will be one to look back on for a long time to come.
lexicondevil
Anyone who digs this record should check out the artists on the Black Jazz label from the 70's. The Kamasi record sounds like it's a mixture of many of their records. Here:
