Yeah, I want a few of these tapes. But a few not so much. $15 a tape is pretty steep to begin with, but when I factor in the cassettes I'll rarely, if ever, play, the cost rises above $20 per. Probably too rich for my blood.

I didn't search to see if this was already posted, but hey couldn't hurt to post again...

You can see all the vaporwave-tagged vinyl projects on QRATES very easily.

Check out that Saki album too - only 10-ish spots open til it fully funds. Pretty nice listen.

Edit:

Here's a general link for new vaporwave items on bandcamp for quick and easy viewing.

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone here think or may know of a 2814 - Birth of a New Day, Cassette repress ever happening?  I know they're planning to re-press the vinyl, but I slept so hard on per-ordering BOTH times the cassette was available. The $50 discog prices are still too much for me too.

Love Potion XXX. this is somewhere between synth wave and vapor wave but it's limited to 150 on purple vinyl and i'm enjoying it alot (not Dream Cat but a similar label out of Athens, GA)

(they are calling it witch house but it doesn't sound like it to me)

That'd be dope. Hopefully it doesn't fizzle away like the physical copies of MEGA did.

Talking about the BB stuff?  I still have hope that we'll see some vinyl. Certainly seemed to be the intention as there's a greyed out 'vinyl' spot on the music page for each album. Hoping that wasn't just a sloppy template job...

Serious question to you all:

As the A&R guy for SlyVinyl I'm always on the look out for potential releases and I've really fallen in love with the vapor genre in the last few years. The problem is of course albums that are sample heavy are near impossible to legally clear (in any reasonable sense or timeframe).

As the demographic we'd be looking to appeal to (vapor fans who buy vinyl) - what are your hidden gems that you think could be cleared for a legal vinyl pressing? I have a couple in mind, but I'm still researching and vetting the legal aspects.

I have no idea how labels like vinyl-digital get away with some of these pressings (see: Yung Bae & Flamingosis) that are so sample heavy.

EU based, so they don't care?

In all seriousness, this could lead to a release getting pressed. I'm the guy to make it happen.

So what are your honest suggestions?

P.S. - make a suggestion that gets pressed and I'll make sure you'll get the full hook up with a copy + test press. :-)
