Iam8bit, Mondo, and Datadiscs will rule the majority of these legit VG releases while everyone else will go for scraps (or kickstart orchestral renditions I guess). They tried to draw people in with the fact that they would be working on pressing the Kingdom Hearts and Metal Gear Solid soundtracks then they did absolutely nothing. I really do feel bad that it's not going to work out, but still. At least have something in the works before starting anything like that. I don't remember the exact wording, but I think leading people on with those titles were more down to poor phrasing rather than an intention to lie to people. Probably mixed with not knowing how difficult it might be to do these releases (particularly if they were only interested in Japanese stuff). Although I agree with you that you shouldn't name specific titles unless you actually have something in the works (or at the very least be very clear that that is the case).
