RFC Cassette Shop

for those of you that collect cassettes over vinyl, why? is it a cost thing? if so, that makes sense with the rising cost of vinyl. I usually only bother with cassettes if that's the only format available.

 

Price is definitely a huge factor. Also, they're more durable, easier to use and they sound good and warm if they were made well and you have a nice deck. And sometimes, like you mentioned, with the more experimental genres or underground artists I listen to, cassettes are the only physical format available.

 

Plus, I grew up with cassettes, so I have a nostalgic fondness for them. The look, packaging, sound, etc.
