Guest scriptedrain
Was this ever pressed on vinyl? WhiteStripes.net lists "CD / Vinyl" as a format for all of the White Stripes albums except this one (which just lists CD), and I can't find it anywhere online. That would be really strange to me considering you can easily find the other 5 full lengths and they've released so many singles otherwise. Thanks in advance for any help! - Jeff
jacobe
I'm almost positive this was released on vinyl. When I get to work today (record store) I'll check our ordering catalog.

Guest scriptedrain
Just the promo was released on vinyl! You're kidding me. There has to be a story on why it wasn't pressed on vinyl like the other full lengths if that's true. Like a couple people in this thread, though, I swear I've seen it before. - Jeff

jacobe
I work at CDWarehouse : we had one of those in our town a few years ago it went out of business within about a year id say yeah, I think I helped set that store up actually. I've kind of made the one I work at a bit more of an indie record store, at least I've tried to, the company's not too hip on letting me order what I want. cadetapplesauce
which genres have the biggest vinyl following though? i'd expect it to be hip hop/rap, punk, dance/electronica.... well at least those are the most obvious ones to me. rock vinyl almost seems like they're novelty items, now. but that's just from what i can gather. i don't pay attention to that sort of stuff. burntwolf
yea i'm sure i've seen it non-promo, but i do want to say it was a UK import only thing. i picked up icky thump, but haven't listened to it yet (the lp that is). i was curious about the whole 1st lp mastered from one-inch tape thing. i can't find the article i read that talked about that now though.
