simple_torture
Haven't been able to find much info about this except for a pre-order page on Soundstage Direct which, of course, doesn't have a release date attached: http://www.soundstagedirect.com/nirvana-from-the-muddy-banks-of-wishkah-vinyl-records.shtml Anyone heard anything else? EDIT: Release date appears to be 2/26: https://www.srcvinyl.com/music/nirvana-from-the-muddy-banks-of-the-wishkah-2xlp.html Edited November 23, 2015 by simple_torture

distinctlydustin
These songs have such a magical tone over the studio stuff.
Sad Heart
It's about damn time. It's the only official Nirvana release I don't have cause I'm been waiting for a reissue.

kramer73
I saw a used one once for $50 many moons ago, and passed on it. Total regret. I'm pretty psyched for this!
nico
Will buy. I can actually remember reading all advertisement leaflets to sort out what shop would carry this and what shop would be the cheapest. I remember biking to the store to be there when they open, to be the first one to pick it up. I was so excited about this record.
nathan_s82
It's about damn time. It's the only official Nirvana release I don't have cause I'm been waiting for a reissue. I've been waiting awhile too. I have the OG version, but after so many years of playing it, it's time to put it in retirement.
iron666monkey
Such a great record. When I was in Japan earlier in the year I picked up an original and one of the 2012 "re-press" copies. I had forgotten how much I loved this record until it was reunited w/ my ears.
nathan_s82
Acoustic Sounds has it for sale as well: http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/111320/Nirvana-From_The_Muddy_Banks_Of_The_Wishkah-Vinyl_Record Expected out on: Jan 15, 2016

tonyfranciosa
counterpoint: the performances on this are kinda poorly chosen. The Live at Reading record is my go-to Nirvana live album (the one that came with the Bleach reissue is good too). pushbacktosquare and Cloudsbelow

The Live at Reading record is my go-to Nirvana live album (the one that came with the Bleach reissue is good too). I do think there's something "iconic" about this release--it's the version of "Aneurysm" that I'll always consider the "true" one, for instance, since it was a radio single--so I'll have to listen to it again to judge! tonyfranciosa
Drain You is pretty good too, but outside of those I feel like they had so many better options to choose from... it's been a while since I've listened to it though, so maybe it's aged well. In addition I wish they'd release the Seattle show from the In Utero box on vinyl.
nathan_s82
I'm still waiting on the 20th Anniversary edition of MTV Unplugged. It never got the deluxe reissue treatment like Bleach, Nevermind and In Utero.

DecayToDeath
What would you like to see with it? Is there recording of unreleased rehearsals or something? Yes, actually. I mean, they're out there. Not sure how official they are.

Sad Heart
I didn't even know this was OOP. Passed it a million times. Was probably in stock cause no casual wants to pay what it goes for. I'm be glad to get it under $40.
tonyregret
Agreed. In addition I wish they'd release the Seattle show from the In Utero box on vinyl. Over the weekend I picked up a really high quality bootleg of the Seattle show on vinyl. Doesn't have the complete set but I love it. It's called Drain You - Live at Pier
distinctlydustin
Was probably in stock cause no casual wants to pay what it goes for. I'm be glad to get it under $40. Same. However, this bad boy better sound amazing for the price they have it listed for.
