ozfacter Posted November 30, 2015 Share Posted November 30, 2015 ive been trying to decide which amp to buy and am looking for a little guidance...i have a Rega RP6.up until an hour ago i was going to buy the Elex-R. now im debating whether i should go with the Brio-R and use the money i save to get the headphone amp as well.also, im going to be getting RX3 speakers.thank you for helping me. allenh Posted December 1, 2015 Share Posted December 1, 2015 What cartridge are you using and are you thinking of going low output MC any time soon? The Elax certainly has the better phono stage but I don't think it does MC without step ups. Have you got any dealers nearby you can audition these at? My instinct is you won't hear all the difference in price between the Brio and the Elax but you might hear enough to make the decision for you.
