Sad Boi
I know there have to be some fellow Porter fans on here and I want to talk to all of you, so here's the "official" (and by "official" I mean "I searched high and low for a Porter thread but couldn't find one so I made one myself") Porter Robinson thread! Feel free to discuss absolutely anything Porter related or maybe share similar artist's music.A little about me: I discovered Porter's music a little over a year ago now, shortly before "Worlds" came out, when a friend sent me "Sea Of Voices", "Lionhearted" and "Sad Machine" which were the only tracks released at the time. As someone who very sparingly liked electronic music at that point in my life, it honestly wasn't my cup of tea at first. Then I found out he was playing at the House Of Blues here in Orlando so I listened a little deeper to the album when it did release and watched videos of the live show he was performing in support of the album. That's when I absolutely fell in love. I spent the weeks leading up to the show watching the same videos of his show on repeat, just in in awe that something so beautiful was real and was going to happen to me. I ended up throwing away the ticket I had to see The Amity Affliction that night and got to the venue seven hours early. Thanks to downtown Disney's free WiFi, I was able to pick up an internet connection on my deactivated phone and I got an email from Astralwerks Records approving my prior request for a photo pass! I could go on for hours about how the show was the greatest night of my life, about how it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and how I cried the whole time... but I think the photos I took speak for themself.f/1.8 - 1/400 - 35mm - 3200 ISOI am not exaggerating when I say that I listened to nothing but "Worlds" and the remakes of the live edits for the entire year following the show. I'm only just now starting to open myself back up to other artists and I'm listening to Porter even as I type this. I also went on to host "The Sky Lounge", the official Plug.DJ (R.I.P.) community of /r/PorterRobinson (for those who frequent that subreddit).【=◈︿◈=】【=◈︿◈=】【=◈︿◈=】

edgedestroys
I was at that same show! So so so good. Giraffage was incredible too but Porter completely blew me away. I already love the shit out of his music but the visuals he had put together for the worlds tour just elevated the experience. I was going through some rough life shit at the time and cliche as it sounds, being there emotionally reset me haha. Phenomenal performance. The themes in Worlds resonate a ton with me and the first time I heard the lyrics to Sea Of Voices (and Fellow Feeling, Goodbye To A World... do I need to go on) I was overwhelmed in the best way. A 100% shameless plug: a friend and I remixed Goodbye To A World and we're pretty hype about it. https://soundcloud.com/gearsss/goodbye-to-a-world-deimos-x-gears-remix-2015-vip Sad Boi
toomanyrecords
Saw him live at coachella this past year Arguably best set of the weekend. The visuals were next level. Sad Boi

I'm not even kidding when I say that's been one of my favorite remixes of any Porter song for a long time now. I'm having a fanboy moment right now, please excuse me. But seriously, as far as your summary of the show itself, I couldn't agree more. Part of me feels like I kind of missed out hiding behind a camera all night instead of REALLY taking it all in, but it's probably the priding moment of my life so far that I can say "Hey, I did photos for Porter Robinson". It's just so surreal that I was even there, let alone there taking photos. What a small world we live in! And your tradelist is amazing too, you listen to a lot of the same (non electronic, more pop punk/melodic hardcore) bands I do!

A+++ You're lucky you got to see the Worlds show in a bigger setting and also you got to see him drop his remix of "The Thrill" by Nero (since Coachella was the first time he played it I believe). Glad you enjoyed the show!
