The Butcha
That sounds like the most annoying way to listen to an LP ever. tittus, BobbyHill and YesPlease
throughbeingcruel
Definitely getting the standard LP, but I'd love those extra songs. Fuck gimmicks like this. tittus
ps.
Just ordered the LP and 7"boxset, and was only charged $12.62 ( shipping and tax) for it? Did that happen to anyone else? After receiving my conformation email I went into the Order Detail Summary and the LP already says processing. The boxset doesn't, considering it isn't suppose to ship until May or June. Kinda weird. http://s17.postimg.org/92icr5zcf/image.png

warhenrecords
Don't have much to add other than I worked his show last weekend and it was really good. Better than anything I'd ever heard by Gaslight. They tossed me a copy of the Horrible Crowes Elsie LP too, which was nice of him.
NewOldStock
£25 shipped to the UK. May wait for a more local pre order. LP only on this one. The box set is silly, would be nice to have the extra tracks though.
dandw12786
There's a preorder up on Side One Dummy. Same price, but shipping is cheaper if you want to save a couple bucks. No box set, though. https://sideonedummy.com/product/brian-fallon-painkillers-lp-island-pre-sale/
jvphotoandvideo
No more 7" box sets for me. I'll stick to the 12". I'm still trying to get rid of that GA singles boxset. Much too annoying.
longwalkshortpiers
the boxset will be worth it for the blues, mary alone. Just glad to have a non myspace ripped version of that song!

mr. sincere
Am I really out of touch? Why is the "box set" over $50?
mdussack
^ this Especially when The Gaslight Anthem singles boxset which had 9 7"s and came in a much nicer, wooden box was $
avery
other than warhen's post, has anyone seen his recent solo show and think it's REALLY worth a go? i like half of gaslight's studio work, like his solo work and am contemplating seeing him when he comes to town feb 17. i saw the gaslight anthem back in 2008 when they played with thrice and alkaline trio and i was way bored by their set, which was disappointing. i'd be willing to go to the show featuring him and "the crowes" (which is what the show is billed as) if it's going to be more entertaining... what i'm asking is how does it compare to GLA circa '08 (or now? i wouldn't know, i haven't given it another chance)? I may be in the minority here but I went with my wife to his show featuring the Crowes and they played a bunch of stuff off this album, some Horrible Crowes stuff, some material he previous released on his own, and a cover or two. We didn't stay the entire set because eventually we got bored and the show was full of drunk bros. I honestly am a little biased because Sink or Swim blew me away and once 59' Sound came out I didn't feel the same about them. I did like the Horrible Crowes material but this had more of a "classic rock" feel so I wasn't impressed. TL;DR - If you were bored then, you'll be bored now. It was meh. GhostTrail
If you preordered from his store, check your email. Just received a download for a new track, "Smoke". Probably my favorite yet. Edit: Just realized it's a Molly and the Zombies track.

funsaimandignite
I tried logging on the Brian Fallon Store website to see if there is already digital content to download, but I get the message "There is no outstanding order.".Do you guys have the same problem? ronniegwilliams
Yeah, mine told me that my download limit was exceeded. I sent an email, though have yet to receive anything in return; which is all right, considering I'd rather listen to the record in its entirety. glass realms
Looking forward to hearing the whole album. Brian and his band were great live. Should be getting my record from Amazon tomorrow, which is $16.99ppd with Prime at the moment. Hopefully they'll send a link for a download tonight.
