Show me the preorder!

They are self releasing it so who knows what kind of physical release it might have, nothing is mentioned in the pitchfork article.

edit: some reddit insider claims they have another record in the can projected for a more traditional release in Q1 2019.

I wasn't able to read the whole thing but it sounds like he preyed on people AND the social worker also handled her involvement poorly/unprofessionally. A telling part for me was when the touring bands were confused by the social worker's involvement/lack of involvement but then talked to the victim directly and decided to bow out of the tour. We don't know the details since they're private but the people who do know have been acting in support of the victim which is nice to see and tells me Pinegrove dude earned his time out (if not more).

You should definitely read the whole article, here's a pretty important part.

The mediator told Pitchfork that the alleged event involved “verbal and contextual pressure” and that “the accusation is not of a physical nature at all.” The alleged victim wants to remain anonymous. The mediator told Pitchfork that: “She and Evan had a brief relationship, and she was in a relationship when it started. She felt that he coerced her into cheating on her partner with him, and she felt that she said no to him several times… and he continued to pursue her.

Its definitely apparent the person from Punk Talks was very manipulative and took control of the narrative of the situation without the approval of anyone involved which makes me worried about the authenticity of her intentions of 'Taking down Pinegrove'

This part too:

Since late 2017, both the band and the alleged victim have focused on coming to a private resolution via a trusted mediator. Until that resolution was reached, Hall said, “there was really no way for us to offer any clarification” to their fans. It was the alleged victim’s request that Pinegrove take a year off from touring and that Hall enter therapy. “We wanted to honor that,” Hall said. “She recognized that we’ve honored it, and has since approved our plan to release an album and play some shows later on this year.” (Their mediator confirmed this.)

New album is up on Bandcamp, don’t see physical preorder yet

Thank you, I'm pretty sure there won't be a physical edition since its self released and Run For Cover isn't working with them anymore, maybe whichever label picks them up will put it out later on. Can't wait to sit down and take this in

Yeah it said in that article that several RFC artists didn’t want them to put it out on the label, and they obliged that and that they were working with another label for the next one.

Yeah, that's a little ridiculous cause with all that we know now he did nothing that could even be considered abuse and the whole situation was blown way out of proportion, it sucks their entire career almost got derailed over this. Skylight is incredibly good though and I'm just glad the issue preventing it from being released is resolved and everyone can move on

This record is so good. Almost inclined to say that it's better than Cardinal.

It's not as immediate but I've listened to it almost non stop. I find it incredibly hilarious he uses Sublime lyrics in a song called 'Darkness', which is probably my favorite song, but there isn't a bad song on this album. 'Rings' and 'Light On' are also  better than anything off Cardinal
