Sidney Crosley
VC Book Club First rule of book club: Chuck Palahniuk is overrated (I am so hilarious). Second rule: Please hide spoilers if you're ahead of the reading pace. Book #1 - February-March 2016 California - Edan Lepucki (amazon.com or amazon.ca links) Timelines: By Saturday February 20: Chapters 1-6 By Saturday February 27: Chapters 7-12 By Saturday March 5: Chapters 13-18 By Saturday March 12: Chapters 19-24 (p.s. obviously these aren't set in stone. What it mostly means is that if you're on same pace as the reading timeline, you can post without hiding in spoilers. Those who are behind should perhaps refrain from entering this topic until you've caught up to the reading pace).

David The Gnome
Would be down! I've been wanting to start a new book but wasn't sure which direction to go; this would certainly be one way to take care of that.

radiatorhums
I like this idea a lot. Depending upon my level of free time, I might participate. I'm still pretty behind on my current book club book.
Bladewillisisdead
I like the idea as well. Not sure if I'll be able to swing it, but depending on the book I might give it a shot.

dapeebs
Well I'm assuming novels would be the best option of book that would appeal to most people, but we could definitely discuss any type of book as long as we all agree on it. I'm assuming he is referring to what specific title is being read in the book club. That will decide his interest in participating.

parkinglot
If I wasn't in two 400 level English classes that I have to read 10-12 novels for, along with 3 other classes, I would be down. Except I usually always have a book in mind that I want to read, so a club might be difficult.

batman
I'm interested. how is this going to be structured? monthly basis? voting? would it be easier to organize on an external page and discuss here?
captainaldous
Definitely interested. My "to read" list is pretty extensive as it is, plus I'm an English major so I'm always reading other stuff, but if what is chosen sounds good, I'll give it a shot. I assume some sort of consensus on the book and then a target finish date followed by discussion?
