andrewlucas
B-Sides & Rarities will now be available on vinyl for Record Store Day (4/16). The collection of non-LP tracks and rare cuts has been pressed onto gold vinyl over three sides with etched artwork on the fourth side of the two discs. The collection also includes a DVD of Deftones videos, photos, and more. This out-of-print collection is now exclusively available on vinyl for the first time and extremely limited. highfives
Do you guys think this will see a wider release after RSD? There's no way they're only doing a limited run. Maybe the gold is limited, but you'd think they would put it out on black later.
Vinyl Fury
'Covers' was 3000 and so far not repressed after RSD '11. But it's still attainable.

Vinyl Fury
I find the incessant aversion to white vinyl totally unnecessary. Several albums come to mind on white that sound just fine, great even. Including 'Diamond Eyes'. Any vinyl pressing on any color can sound great or like shit. Including white. And gold. It's all digital anyway. highfives
andrewlucas
I'm gonna take a guess... 2xLP ($25) + RSD Exclusive ($10) + Deftones ($10) = $45 retail price Kanellos and highfives

It's all digital anyway. I was bullshitting about white. I don't get the aversion to white vinyl. I think the haze and splatter variants have a tendency to be incredibly dirty and therefore sound bad without a really thorough cleaning, but I don't think any one color sounds worse than another. I was hoping it would be gold, because it will look nice.

mcpherson123
But is it worse than white? These are the real questions. Its worse than white. Ugly ass vinyl. Unless is the clear gold which is more like yellow. But it'll probably be nasty opaque copper-y gold that looks like baby shit.

Skacel
I think it will be the same gold as the 'limited edition' sticker in this link: http://recordstoreday.co.uk/exclusive-releases/rsd-2016/deftones/

That I could live with but it will more than likely be what Skacel pointed out.
