Buffbloom
I've created a new database for pressing information over at www.melodicallydeaf.com. It's not meant to rival discogs because it will never do that but with Deadformat dead, I wanted something new. Example Artist Page: http://www.melodicallydeaf.com/wiki/dance-gavin-dance Anyways. I need people to help out. You need to know some basic HTML to contribute. I'm hoping to get a good solid 10 contributors so we can bang this right out. Now proceed to tell me this is a dumb idea and is not needed because discogs, etc.

MahPah
I have it an honest try, but I don't like it. Would much rather use discogs.
Han Solo
I haven't been able to update new records in months I noticed that too. There seems to be a ton of little glitches with them lately. Wonder why no one is doing anything to fix it

dvv
I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I just don't feel convinced it's a good one, good luck though.
kjkenney
Discogs is genius in having a marketplace, so they get paid to maintain that site space and that's pretty much it. Haven't used dead format for that info for years, other than maybe to look at color variants that didn't have pictures on discogs. Cool idea but it's hard to compete
itsgoodtobefree
What is the point of a pressing database if there's no detailed information? Same question for Dead Format, I suppose. Taking a quick look at Dead Format, that site also seems useless for anyone whose collection goes beyond pop punk. docbronze

So what you're saying is it's perfect for the large majority of VC. Amirite? docbronze

Buffbloom
I tried searching for bands and nothing would work? I've been inputting everything myself so I only have about 5 bands in so far. I really wish more people appreciated this and would help out.

Buffbloom
You know I appreciate you and support all you do... but Discogs. I know. Discogs is massive and this is just a baby. But I don't like the way that discogs displays pressing info.

The Second Chance Store buys things at cost and sells them at cost. So if you're looking to unload some OOP sealed records, I might be interested.
