Yes, it's the indie store exclusive retail variant limited to 750 copies. If there's a record store near you, I'd say your best bet is to give them a call or make the trip this friday! Shelby
This record fucking rips. I Walk for Miles is ridiculously great.
warhenrecords
Can't wait to get my copy. Probably tomorrow. No idea what variant I ended up ordering. Whatever was in the Kung Fu store.
YouTwo
I feel like I've seen the Purple pre-order too many places for it to actually be limited to 750.

tonyfranciosa
i ordered the purple bundle with the 7" from the official store - didn't get a ship notice, but hope it arrives in teh next day or so. Album rules. And i agree that the production sounds different from their last few. Less fat, if that makes sense. Drums sound really thin. It's like he asked their mastering engineer to use a high-pass filter set at like 250-300 i know their a "guitar band", but you gotta have a solid bass spectrum to build off of....thankfully most all of this album just rips really hard, the songs are there for certain
Moglog
Is this not streaming anywhere? Either way, I'll probably pick it up at a local shop tomorrow, seriously doubt I'll be disappointed.

Sounds like Beyond to me.
tonyfranciosa
Definitely sounds like the rest of the catalog. Farm & I Bet On Sky felt like beasts though. Still love it - every release from them is extra sweet because this reunion was so unlikely.
jeromium
I just picked up a purple one at my local shop, they had several and 9000 definitely sounds more likely if it's an "indie store exclusive" and not some other highly limited type of release. I've not traditionally been a huge fan of the band and don't own any of their albums in any format other than digital, but checked out the samples of this earlier today and was impressed enough to pick it up. Spinning now.
Eliminator Jr.
@jeromium I had the 750 from discogs, but 9000 is confirmed by now. Cargo Records EU released an official advertising text stating that number.
youspinmeround
Spent some time with this today. Probably my least favorite dino jr record with lou on it. Still stoked to see them 2 nights in a row with steve gunn.
jeromium
I noticed yesterday while updating some items in iTunes that the download of this album is at 192kbps. Is that par for the course from Jagjaguwar? At a quick glance to compare, the first Jagjauwar album I can think of that I know I downloaded from them was Viet Cong's debut LP and it's at 320. birdwell
Heard Lou left stage mid set at Wrecking Ball in Atlanta a bit ago and had a nervous breakdown and isn't on speaking terms with J currently? Anybody verify this?
warhenrecords
It is the weakest album since the return of the original trio. Not bad by any means, but it didn't jump out at me like Beyond, Farm or I Bet On Sky.
