Prestonlanes
Woo! I was worried that Horseback was done, with Jenks focusing on releases under his name. Ordering.
hzielaskowski
Horseback forever. I love the news. Will order right away.
radiatorhums
Awesome! I was thinking about how it'd been too long since there was new Horseback. The stuff under his own name doesn't quite do it for me. Not feeling the cover art here, but I'm sure I'll dig the album. Going to order when I get a moment. hzielaskowski
"Shape of the One Thing" Loving it... long, slow, quiet.

davepriz
Listening to my blue copy right now. Very good so far! I love how different all their albums are!
radiatorhums
I ordered mine with True Widow, so I won't get it for until next month. I'm real excited to hear this and am starting to wish I'd ordered it separately.
hzielaskowski
The record is okay. Not crazy fucking incredible like some of their previous albums (specially from the beginning) but I enjoy it. Calm, moody, slow... perfect for a bike ride. For me strong 7/10.

Piedmont didn't grab me quite like the previous albums either. You described it as calm and slow, does this lean more ambient? I love both aspects of Horseback, but I think the ambient side will always be my preference.
davepriz
Definitely more on the ambient side but not as much as Piedmont from what I remember
jeromium
Never heard of Horseback or the guy's other work (ok I've heard of Mount Moriah) until I saw an article in Noisey last week and was intrigued by the "electronic post-punk" label. "Shape of the One Thing" sounded good and I'm streaming the album now on Spotify. Liking it so far.
hzielaskowski
For me this record is showing some fascination with 70's psych rock more than ambient. It's definitely specific.
