Even though I already have multiple versions of each album I wouldnt mind a bad ass box set.

Absolutely.  Something that brings all of the artwork together and expands on it.  Right now it's a hodgepodge of random shit.  It'd be nice to get the girl who did Act IV and V to do the other Acts.  Then do some of the story in a booklet or something.

Does it look like the /2000 variant is single LP and the /500 one is a double LP?

It explicitly says 2xLP on the /500 bundle page, and not on the others....

I'm talking about the difference in the included text, and not the graphical mock ups (as they are indicating in what you posted).

What I'm getting at is the difference between the /2000 Dark Blue Variant:

Quote

Act V: Hymns With The Devil In Confessional Dark Blue Vinyl
Limited to 2,00 worldwide

and what it says on the /500 Blue-in-Clear Variant:

Quote

Act V: Hymns With The Devil In Confessional Blue in Clear 180 gram 2xLP Vinyl
Premium 2xLP
Color in Color - Clear outer ring, transparent blue inner ring
Limited to 500 worldwide

That appears to indicate that one is single LP and the other is 2xLP.

It could also be that the /2000 is also 2xLP, but that all that info was omitted from all the other product pages for it.

EDIT: Welp, ok case closed. These product pages are just wildly mismanaged. Lack of consistency between bundles.

Both variants are 2xLP.

Here's a quote from a different bundle as well

It was totally unexpected. it made my day, for sure.

My friend swapped me the Act IV megabundle vinyl for the green one.  But considering it was literally the dirtiest, dustiest pressing I've ever seen, I don't know if I made out on that deal.

Whatever, at least we know we're getting the novel on 9/9!

I wonder what's going to happen to that whole project now that the two guys who did it split up?

Damn, that is disappointing.

I was reading what Casey posted on Instagram yesterday when he was talking about Alex and how he was the guy who basically turned the Act story into the graphic novel story.  I guess they're pretty close, so Casey could essentially use different artists for each Act novel now that the story has been fleshed out.  It would be a little all over the place, but personally I'm not that into the style they chose for Act I.  It seems too "American Anime" and lighthearted to me.  Of course I've only seen 2 pages of it, but I'm pretty sure that's enough to form an opinion on the illustration style.

With that said, I still want to buy it.

The Revival is the jaaaaaaaaam.  Hurry the fuck up September.

^ THIS. September is shaping up to be one of the most exciting months for new music in recent memory. Which also means I won't have any freakin time to do anything but spin all my new records each evening after work.

And man, what a band. Love them so much. I still remember getting my friend to download Act 1 on his ZUNE player so I could listen. And only way I knew of them was that it was Casey from TREOS. And I figured if I loved TREOS then I'd love The Dear Hunter. How right I was now 10 years later...
