Showtime (and some other networks) do this every so often, but then still air the online content in its regular timeslot. For folks who take advantage of the Twin Peaks online content this would mean a three week wait for "new" episodes. If that's the case (it most likely will be), then I will probably elect to watch them in real time. Also, of interest is that it seems like all the newly shot material will be presented this year in the form of the eighteen scheduled episodes and not split into two seasons as had been recently rumored. If these end up selling out right away, I'm pretty sure there's a really good chance they'll put up more "preorders" like they did with the show's soundtrack. I mean... if it were me, I would hate taking that risk, but I understand the "not wanting to spend the money right now" thing haha.
