They don't follow these releases, and they sell out, and then they see from some horror-related Facebook page or news site that these were released. I know Trick R Treat and Krampus Picture Discs went quick too, as well as the Goosbumps variant....but this was less than 5 minutes. Maybe only a couple hundred copies???? They did go fast. Waxwork doesn't have a system in place for only subscribers to get them during the 'early bird' notification. If anyone was on the site at that time, they could buy - they just wouldn't get the discount. I see a lot of subscribers complaining about that on FB, so Waxwork will have it's hands full with that moving forward. Great business model That or they wanted to catch the hype of the release of the Goosebumps movie (which is a totally reasonable excuse) and have as much time as they need for F13 Part 3, when there isn't a Friday the 13th date to preorder on.
