I'll check the shop Wens for you. It's really nice. Thanks! It seems to be sold out everywhere!
jacobe
Monk, I got my Cap Omnibus today, the thing was packed in a vaccum bag kinda mailer and the dust jacket is pretty banged up, also a pretty large sticker left on it as well. Nothing at all major by any mean, still NM condition & a great price, but still a bit of a bummer.
monk0nuggets
I just read all the episodes of Warren Ellis's "Freakangels". I can't wait for this to come out in the hardcover format.

reachforthesky
Picked up the All Star Batman: Volume 1 hardcover today. A lot cheaper than buying all the back issues..
andrew13
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=17104 about 2/3 the way there's a thing about marvel masterworks being redrawn so artists don't get royalties. shady.

I read about that today in LitG, it's a shame. The sad thing is that in some eyes that kid will be blacklisted forever in some editors. I don't think I could morally agree to lightbox Ditko, Kirby, etc just to get my foot in the door. You'd have to realize that in the long run it's not a good idea. andrew13
can't wait til the comics come in tomorrow. i think there's a new kickass coming, plus hopefully some avatar stuff. i need to pick up some more 100 bullets trades as well. those only last a few hours for me, then the rest of the week i'm left hating being poor. haha. jacobe
I'm waiting for trade with Kickass. Outside of universe wide stuff (Crisis/Invasion) I skip most mini series as monthlies unless they tie in REALLY strongly with a book I read monthly. monk0nuggets
I hope my Captain America omni comes along with my Uncanny X-Men collections. I'm out of comics to read! When I wake up my bank account should have my paycheck! That means I'm ordering Absolute Long Halloween, Absolute Dark Knight Returns and Hellboy Library Vol 1. Anyone happen to find out if their local shop has the Sin City Library I?

Myself (and I'd guess anyone else that's looking for you) would likely check today (wens) as it's new comic day and requires a trip to the shop....I wouldn't expect a "trader" to understand...haha. I'll let you know tomorrow evening. My brother is stopping in the shop by his house for me too to take a look (he's about 30 minutes away). andrew13
anyone on here collect signed stuff from DF? i've got a few, and a ton coming in soon. decided i'd rather get those instead of playing half as much for a single issue. my local guy usually prices them at $15 per, so can't beat that. they make huge markups at the list price. (50-66%)
jacobe
I don't collect anything variant, signed, limited, etc. I'm doing everything in my power to avoid another 90's-esque glut. I think with the advent of variants and signed items that regular issues should be cheaper as the cost overall is lessend by the same day mark up of said items. kurtz
The only variants I collect are ones done by Frank Cho. I have almost everything Frank Cho has done and I am trying to keep the collection as complete as possible. I pity the people who collect Michael Turner. It seems like half the books published had some kind of Turner variant cover.

Sometimes when Alex Ross does cool covers i buy the issues for that.

monk0nuggets
jacobe, I got my Captain America omni today, and there is no publisher mark or anything! Somewhat shitty packing job, but the book is in good shape anyway.

akross
It Joss Whedon's "Astonishing X-Men" a standalone storyline? I like his comics, but I don't want to have to buy 50 additional X-Men books for backstory...
robotnerd
i keep checking this thread hoping that you guys will eventually talk about some comics that have nothing to do with superheroes.
