motorbike
they cancelled all of my order except the one book i didn't really care to get so i cancelled that one, that'll teach'em.
kurtz
Amazon just gave me a $25 credit for canceling my order. It's kind of funny that they are giving me money because I tried to take advantage of an obvious mistake. haha.
teganandsara
Yeah I got that email to but do not see any credit in my account.
kurtz
It shows up on the page where you select your credit card during checkout. There is a box below your credit card info that says "your available balance".

kurtz
What did everyone pick up yesterday for new comic day? I only get my comics once a month since I mail order them. Here's what was on my pull list for this week though. BPRD: King of Fear #3 Elephantmen #24 Ghoul #3 House of Mystery #23 Solomon Kane: Death's Black Riders #3 Unwritten #11 Zombies Vs. Robots Adventure #
antoine
Well B&N cancelled my Daredevil, and Captain Britain. They send the Dracula Omnibus.... Better than nothing i guess!
kurtz
B&N haven't canceled my order yet. Although when I placed the order, it was scheduled to ship today (3/12). Now the expected ship date is 3/31. I'll be surprised if I get it.
kurtz
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=25219 Who else is stoked for DARKWING DUCK!!! I do hope it's better than the other books in BOOM's kids line though. I didn't care for the Muppets or Donald Duck books that they put out. I'm still buying Uncle Scrooge, but I think I might drop it soon. The stories are okay but they seem just a little too dumbed down for kids. Hopefully they don't make the same mistake with DW. Guest markovianprocess
What did everyone think of the first Nemesis book? I really enjoyed it, but it seemed as if the swearing was a bit unnecessary in places.
robotnerd
i thought nemesis was pretty good. it was a good time, but that's about it.
teganandsara
I thought it was alright but hopefully the over the top action/killing sequence subside a bit in future comics.

kirbypuckett
I didn't read this thread, but has anyone used the Marvel Comics App for the iPhone? There's a few free comics that come with the free app that I've read and I really enjoy reading on my phone. I'm sure it'd be 100x better on the iPad, but this is pretty nice. I might actually start reading comics. It's $2 for a new one, which isn't great, but it isn't bad IMO. The selection is limited so far, but it's growing. I'm thinking about reading the Astonishing X-Men, thoughts on that?
robotnerd
i tried it out on my friends phone. it seemed pretty intuitive, but i lose some of the flow of reading without having the actual page in front of me. but in all honesty, i thought it would be a little clunkier. but who knows how it'll work with a book that has more dynamic or less standard page layouts. kurtz
The app looks pretty cool from what I saw online. I haven't seen it IRL yet. $2 an issue is a rip off though. You can buy a real copy for that price. There is also some controversy concerning creator royalties. Last I read, Marvel is not paying the creators of these books for the digital "reprints". kurtz
If you shop around online or buy in TPB format you can easily get most Marvel books for $2 or less each. Keep in mind, these are not new issues on the app.
