I didn't make it to a lot of shows this year, and for the most part the ones I did get to were kind of lame. Like I saw Waaves and Best Coast earlier in the year and there were a bunch of kids around.  Then I caught Beach Slang but no one bothered to let me know it was just the lead singer touring on his own.

But I saw The Cure at this smaller outdoor ampitheather and they played a 3 hour set.  And then I saw John Doe at a honkytonk roadhouse bar, which was pretty sweet.  Especially because he was touring with DJ Bonebrake, which I didn't find out about until the show started.  He signed my copy of his book but spelled my name wrong.

Florence & the Machine was my favorite show of the year.  She is fucking amazing live.

Sleepmakeswaves was number 2, even though they were an opener.  They destroyed the stage in just 4-5 songs.

Owel is number 3.  Maybe the most personalized show ever.  Only like 5 people there knew them, & I, my brother & wife were 3 of the 5.  They shouted me out & let me pick a song.  Plus got to hear a new song.  Then we drank with Jay.  Maybe this was number 1 lol.
