Battra
I just saw that Deicide is coming to St. Louis in May. Well, that's a band that needs to be checked off the bucket list.
Battra
Well...I'll keep this going. Yesterday, with the news of Deicide going back on tour, a friend and I were discussing the death metal biggies from back in the day... Morbid Angel, Deicide, and Cannibal Corpse, back in the day, all sold over 100K on more than one album. This is still mind boggling to me. kgry
What do you guys make of the Morbid Angel situation lately? David went country but he's starting a tour under the name I Am Morbid. Curious to see what Trey comes up with.
Battra
To me, it's not Morbid Angel if David Vincent isn't involved. I'm really, REALLY kicking myself right now for skipping the Covenant 20th Anniversary (or was it 30th or 25th?) that came through a few years back. Pete Sandoval wasn't on the tour, as he's a christian now, but still. I should have gone. David going country, I'm not remotely interested, but Trey, I'll see what it is...but when you have a legendary band, a trio, with only one member...that's a solo project. coreystevens88
Came across this thread doing some DM forum searches. Any interest in getting this thread going again? We have fairly active threads devoted to Doom/Stoner and Black Metal, seems like a Death Metal thread could gain some traction, especially given the amount of quality releases there have been over the last two years. Undergang - Misantropologi as well as Tomb Mold - Manor Of Infinite Forms are two favorites in heavy rotation for me lately.

I only use that thread for vinyl-specific discussion, whereas the general Doom/Stoner and Black Metal threads survive here with more general discussion. Maybe there isn't enough interest for a DM thread, since this one didn't last
2notepockets
Never been into death metal much aside from a few band (Death, Immolation, Dead Congregation). Have been digging some of the stuff coming out lately though Horrendous and Innumerable Forms are both great... Most of the stuff I like generally has tinges of black metal so I usually post in that thread. Edit: Also that Artificial Brain record from a year or 2 ago, that was siiiiiiiick Edited July 18, 2018 by 2notepockets
