Most of the ones have seen have been a normal/reasonable retail prices. This helps small labels and it's something fun for some people to do as a one off.

I've looked at all the offerings so far...and bar one or two..most of them are selling at typical retail prices or less..so I don't see an issue with it. Can't understand how the digger one is gonna work..surely pressing a record costs more than a euro? I haven't committed to that one yet.

Personally..it's the P&P costs that really bumps up the price, if buying from another country. I've picked up a few from my country to keep costs down.....but really want the Gruesome Twosome & Rhubarb versions....but they're pricey with P&P costs on top.

Here ya go.

100 copies.

Black wax.

Hand-stamped center labels.

Totally unique artwork made by human beings as much as possible.

80 are up online. 20 are being held back for locals.

They'll ship as soon as I get em.

Thanks to everyone who orders.

HUGE thanks to the band, as this is a pretty rad kickdown to small labels like me.

Seems to be a real problem in the States regarding copyright laws there. Has ATO claimed exclusive rights to Poly, then? Bit confusing since the album supposed to be copyright free!

If it’s even remotely possible to F something up, some American will find a way to do it.

I was looking forward to seeing what ATO produces...but if they've nabbed it all for themselves, then kinda spoils it for any other US variant.  What is the legal issue in the states regarding copyright?

King Gizz has publily said it's not theirs..so why all the hassle in USA? Got no probs anywhere else!

Probably just because a Facebook post doesn't magically nullify laws, the legality issues had to be looked at. It just means a bunch of red tape leading up to King Gizzard having to sign something that says yes, legally we are making this artistic piece free use for all with no exceptions. Maybe if there are exceptions they have to take a look at it, because not every imaginable situation has happened, yet. I'm not intensely aware of the processes involved.

They'd probably do well to make it undeniably official, because of some of these guys don't cough up the records, King Gizzard can't be culpable, if this is supposed to work.

I think Gotta Groove is just protecting themselves. I’m sure they will press these records, I think they just need direct approval from the band and not just hearsay from the Internet.

So. What has everyone ordered?  I went with both fuzz club variants and that's all so far!

I'm barely keeping track! All of the Blood Music ones (but in hindsight maybe I should've just had the Yellow/blue splatter only), the Needle juice Crumbling Polycolor variant, VC Mystery, Kickstarter Wizard Blob, The last 2 versions from Stolen Body, the Greenway issue, ATL Purple (wished I waited and picked the orange one instead!), All 3 Constant Rotation variants &  the Salty Dog Lava Lamp edition & last but not least, the Rhubarb variant.  I think that's all of them so far.

Would like the Gruesome Twosome edition & mibbe a Fuzz Club (I missed the two colour variants) if it's tasty & prob get the ATO if it's sexy enough.

With regards to the Arista Cassette tape edition....translated the blurb on their site:

Cost wise $170 Mexican Pesos = £6.80GBP = US$8.98

Arista is proud to announce that as the first official release we will make physical copies of the new album by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard Polygondwanaland. Thanks to the initiative of the band in a statement they gave, have allowed each record company to take their personal copies and versions of this album, so here we have for you our proposal in black cassette format with yellow letters. It is now available for pre-sale, for launch in the next two weeks.

Also, for the first 25 people ordering the cassette we will be raffling an original impression of a photo of the King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard on September 30th in Austin, TX, courtesy of Goo Youth Film.

The yellow w/ blue splatter one from Blood Music, plus the Gruesome Twosome edition with that alternate cover. I usually don't buy more than one variant of a record, but can definitely see myself grab a few more (if it wasn't for shipping costs I would've done so already). Would have liked a fuzz club variant as well, but missed out on the colored ones

TEASE: there's going to be a pretty amazing surprise tomorrow for the kickstarter charity variant

Prepare your wallet

Duly noted! I was going to buy a teal and play it out the most, treat  as my "standard" version.

I'm also waffling on the VC edition.
