Battra
So... It's Christmas/Hannuka/Winter Solstice/Kwanza Time right? So, I told the wife I'd be slowing down on the records during that time...which I HAVE....but I couldn't pass on the Iron Maiden $20 Rock In Rio and En Vivo sets...as I don't have any Iron Maiden... The issue is they're both OOS...what's the longest anybody's waited on this kind of thing?
Group Buy Guy
There really isn't a limit, sadly. I've waited as long as 6 months and then received a "your item still isn't in stock, would you like to cancel the order" e-mail. Hopefully yours gets filled in a timely manner. Battra
I'm not expecting either of these to come back into stock. It seemed like it was one of those mark 'em down and get'em out.
Reshiram
I once got a shipping confirmation for an OOS item a year and a half after I ordered it. Another time I got one the next week, it's really random.
daegor
Yeah I've received stuff after a year. Since it doesn't charge you until it ships I usually just leave it to Amazon to cancel unless I end up picking it up elsewhere. I think I had one that was waiting for three years before Amazon cancelled it themselves.
Battra
Part of me is hoping that they both come into stock the same day and I "don't notice."
bgdesign
I've been waiting since 2014 for the Norah Jones boxset to come back in stock. My guess is I'm not going to get it for $40. somethingvinyl
Battra
Oh well. I have this stupid idea now that I've given them my credit card that it'll all of a sudden return to stock. They have not.
V3XED
I have had two "OOS" orders open with amazon for vinyl. One waited about 9 months before asking "your item still isn't in stock, would you like to cancel the order" like mentioned above. Waited another 5 months and got an email with an apology saying the order was cancelled and new stock would not be received. The other one is at about 13 months and have received zero word on it. But they don't charge till they ship, so why not right?

kramer73
Yeah, if you don't "need" it right now, there's no harm waiting. The price is guaranteed, so as soon as it is back in stock, you are good to go.

Battra
Well...it's been nearly almost kind of twenty four hours. I think I might start emailing them. No, it's nothing I need, and I still can't make myself WANT the Book of Souls live chapter. I just don't like that album enough.

They deleted it and when Icalled about it they acted like it never happened. Guessing it will never come back in stock but you never know! merlecakes
Did you get a shipping update? I bet it’s on it’s way soon.
kylet
Ordered Led Zeppelin III for real cheap like 3 months ago. Got shipping updates today!
ephemeral
I pre-ordered an album on Amazon.ca a few months ago that's not even sold by Amazon.ca anymore and they assure me it will be shipped soon so we'll see I guess
Battra
Both of them are arriving on Wednesday! I decided to get them both because.... Well, Rock In Rio is the one I really want, but I "borrowed" En Vivo from the library...so I'll buy it now.
Battra
So...interesting post script to the story... En Vivo was delivered today! But not to my address. Contacted Amazon...send me a replacement ASAP...will arrive late next week... It's OOS again...I asked him, you gotta do something different...he offers me a link to another store selling it at double the price...(not helpful)... I ask him if he called Fed Ex? He says he couldn't get through. Well, I called them, found the package, and it should be delivered to me before I leave the office. And Amazon refunded the order. So, this should be all goo-ood...right?

I still have the e-mail confirming the order, and has the order number with the total price...ect. Like that is going to do any good.
