dreamover 2,452
What about it is worth it other than the vinyl and shirt? These box sets make more sense to me when they are all part of a lasting package... IE... Cd, DVD, vinyl, book. Tshirt, stickers and download codes don't really stay part of the set. tokimedo 1,221
i mean, its cheaper then just buying the vinyl by itself. the lithograph that comes with it is sweet, and the booklet with the handwritten lyrics is pretty rad too. im never gonna use the stickers or pins so they will stay in the box
xgrantx 107
good deals to be had for sure....there have been several records that i've wanted from amazon but didn't get because of their shipping. I'm risking it this time. If they are damaged, I will send them right back.
Vinyl Fury 79
Well, my question was answered. Two boxes from Amazon came today, with one shipment in each box. One of the boxes had stiff cardboard with plastic wrapped tightly over that, and the records were sandwiched in between. None of the records are warped at all, so far I'm very happy. i wish that was what i received. 4 boxes, all the usual records with loads of air bags, which only help so much. none of the records i ordered were totally flat. 2 Radiohead singles were crammed into a box that was OBVIOUSLY way too small. they need to have a standard, consistent, practical, effective method, and everyone that packs records needs to follow it. the records were cheap enough that
garrygumguru 0
I got one of my packages today with an LP and a 7" in a big box with a shit ton of air cushions. The records were miraculously fine though, no bent corners or anything. I have to wonder how much those air cushions cost though...they seem to use them with reckless abandon. I counted them all and there were 39 all together in that one box. Crazy.

genuma 8
my second box that came in had one record and was also crammed into a box that was too small. it only bent the sleeve and it was pretty easy to fix, so i'm okay with it.
doublea 2
snagged the assjack lp, this thread rules!
bogsurfer 0
Just picked up the SSP box. Thanks for the heads up! Was waiting to find the record at a good price, and that pretty much beats all
plasma36 128
Third of four packages came today, and they put one record into a huge box with a ton of those air packs. My best guesstimate for the box size is 12.5"x7"x17.5". I'm grateful that none of the boxes are too small, but Jesus Christ. My entire order could fit in there with room to spare. Does anyone know how to tell them to put the whole order in one shipment? I thought I had that option checked but this happened.
dreamover 2,452
Lower stocked items (like vinyl) get shipped from several locations around the country. That's why they come separately.

It's just odd because one of the other boxes I got was way more reasonably-sized (but still too big). Maybe they're just throwing away big boxes because people aren't making big orders? harryq 200
my guess was that maybe they ran out of the good boxes since everyone was ordering lots of records
tokimedo 1,221
yeah my boxes were huge, but i did get a box set.

jblahmaster 2
Same here. Ordered a record, it came and was all bent up to shit.I then returned it and yet again all they did this time was put the record on top of the air bag stuff so the record came so warped i could use it as a bowl. thelossadjuster 2
Looks like they've collected the discounted vinyl in one place again, as part of their Fall sale... http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_p_n_binding_browse-b_3?rh=n%3A5174%2Cn%3A!44259011%2Cn%3A!251269011%2Cn%3A13650871%2Cp_n_binding_browse-bin%3A387647011&bbn=13650871&ie=UTF8&qid=1284574478& rnid=387643011
thelossadjuster 2
Well, that didn't work. Er, click the Fall Blowout Sale link in the upper right-hand corner. Then select vinyl on the left hand side and you'll get the list. Yep.
