ps
I have no monthly allowance.... I had a HUGE paypal balance from helping my dad sell stuff on ebay and I've finally spent all of my share.... other than that I can buy a few things here and there. roadmonkey
I'm around 100-200 a month on vinyl about 200 a month on dining out 50 a month on DVDs/video games on average I'm trying to limit myself to about $150 a week for expenses and not use my credit card so much
destroyingthescene
I held off buying record for about 2 and a half months, but it looks like I'm back on at my usual pace of $150-200 a month. It doesn't help that our dollar is trouncing the US buck right now!

eddieruckus
my ebay spendings over the last 3 months came up to 275, that doesnt include shipping, ive even cut out other bad habbits completely to support a healthy addiction haha
mrc
i try to keep it at $100.00 per month but there are those big orders that happen on special occasions that are 75-150 bucks. If i am down in the the dumps (emotionally) my record expenditure rises. gotta do something to make myself feel better.

riddle350
I think the last two months have been between $100-150 which I really need to cut back on. I had to cancle two pre-orders today.
mattisr1984
im glad to know im not the only one who buys vinyl when im feeling like shit. i always justify my spending on vinyl by reminding myself that its a hobby and everyones gotta have a hobby. besides, its not like youre wasting your money away on a drug habit or are an alcoholic (that i know of... hah). live within your means but you only live once so you might as well enjoy whatever it is you enjoy. monstercody
I spend around $700 - $1000 a month on records. A lot of them are high ticket items on ebay and I try to hit every hardcore pre-order from around 20 labels. I am a 37 year old straight edge hardcore "kid" with a wife, young baby and mortgage, but I find that being a family man homebody who doesn't drink or smoke, allows me to spend A LOT of disposable income on records. mrc
that is a ton... But if i didnt drink and do other things i would have either a lot of money in the bank or a lot more records on my shelves. I was never officially straight edge but i didnt drink or do drugs for about 5-6 years and the amount of money i spent on music (mostly cds) was crazy. good for you though. Now i must look thru your list and see what records a Grand a month can buy.

Plus, I have a lot of metal and indie records that aren't on the list. I am really proud of my Smiths 12" singles collection!
