that being said, this is a really nice collection. Ride, Grouper, New Order, Low, and Concrete Blonde covers are all terrific and Pattern After Us is one of the best Nothing songs ever written. kinda a bummer it is relegated to a b-side.

Who knows, maybe if they notice a lot of request about a vinyl pressing, Relapse can decide to press it....

apparently Doyle from Cloakroom quietly replaced Brandon?

Wonder what happened

Brandon's been completely under the radar for quite some time, and they haven't addressed the fans about it. Hopefully he's doing alright, and that it wasn't due to personal friction between them. He's an essential part of the band IMO.

Huh... the idea of Doyle taking over is intriguing but as I understood it Brandon was just as involved in the songwriting process as Nicky, so this is worrisome at least a little bit.

I know B, he's doing well, I don't think he's out of the band for good.  just taking some time..

New Nothing. Sort of. Live EP. Pay what you want on BC. All proceeds to different community bail funds.

Shid, them two DOTB cuts sound better than the studio versions

Which probably isn't saying that much, but yeah.  Lotta' people seemed to insist that "you just get used to" the production on this album.  But 2 years later and my ears still struggle with how neutered it sounds.  Sometimes I daydream about a new Nothing album with proper oomph.

It just hurts to listen to, those highs, man.

I remember not loving DOTB at all when I first heard it. Love it now.

The songwriting is there.  Don't get me wrong.  It just sounded like it needed a 20-year remaster the first time I played it.

The highs are what kill you, eh?  It's been a little bit since I've gone back to my copy but I distinctly recall the guitars being so very unsatisfying.  The momentum is where it needs to be and instead of a payoff it's just mega tinny, muffled guitar teasing.  Or so my memory suggests.  I'll give it another spin and see if I'm remembering it worse that I really am... but I know I was in a minority when I last complained about it in 2018.

Oh I love the album, it has some amazing tracks, I just know the mix will give me a headache so it’s been a minute since I’ve listened to any of it. I’ll throw on the record tomorrow and see if I feel any different.

I'm a huge Nothing fan, played GoE every week for years, loved ToT in parts, but I haven't listened to Dance... more than 4 times. I want to give it another chance.

Give it another chance on the blacktop. I agree with everyone here, love the songs, but not a fan of the mix/master. Prefer the Yip production on ToT the most.
