Cassette study seeks participants

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I am doing research at a university, conducting a study regarding music cassette tape purchase and playing experiences. The study is well under way, but we're seeking a few more participants to wrap things up by mid-June 2018. We're offering $10 Amazon e-gift cards (very limited supply, see info below) to those who complete their participation in the study. Interviews would take place over the phone. Please review the below information to see if you meet the qualifications. If you are interested in participating, or if you have any questions, please send an email directly to the email address listed in the final paragraph below. Thanks very much!

Have you purchased and played a music cassette tape in the last couple years? Were you born between the years 1983-1999? If so, we'd like to talk to you about your experiences. We are conducting a study on the experiences of millennials who have recently purchased and played cassette tapes. We are seeking participants of all majors, music tastes, and backgrounds. To qualify you must:

- Be at least 18 years of age

- Be born between the years of 1983 and 1999

- Have purchased and played a music cassette tape in the last 2 years

- Be willing to consent to an audio-recorded interview of no more than 30 minutes, in which a series of questions will be asked about the experience of purchasing and playing cassette tapes

The first 20 participants will receive a $10 gift card to Amazon.com upon completion of their interview participation.

If you are interested, please contact Dr. Waleed Rashidi in the Cal State Fullerton Department of Communications at [email protected] or call 657-278-7420 to receive a copy of the informed consent document and set up an interview appointment. Please put “CASSETTE STUDY” in the e-mail subject line, so we don’t miss you!

(This study is CSUF IRB approved: CSUF IRB HSR-17-18-199)
