I thought they signed with Side One Dummy several months back, but just did a little research and found out about S1D scaling back and not following through with the deal. Album is good... not sure if it's as strong as Best Buds (one of my favorites from the last couple years), but I've listened through several times and it keeps getting better and better. Shitty Rambo Posted February 27, 2022 Share Posted February 27, 2022 Didn't see a PO thread for their new album Sweet Tooth and figured we could discuss it here. Has anyone else been listening to it? Mom Jeans didn't click with me until last year. I enjoy Best Buds quite a bit, Puppy Love not so much, but this new record is surprisingly good. You can tell Bart took the reigns with a lot of the song writing because it sounds more like a companion to the latest Graduating Life record than to their previous LP. It'd make sense that's why he's wrapping up GL, probably putting more effort into MJ because they've given him more control over writing. I'm just spit balling, but yeah, Sweet Tooth is a cool album.
