Dance Gavin Dance - Color Pop Bundle

Duck down, then hide, behind the file cabinet
Duck down, then hide, behind the file cabinet, down
Without ever letting go I knew you'd gone
Duck down, then hide, behind the file cabinet
Duck down, then hide, behind the file cabinet, down
Without ever letting go I knew you'd gone astray
Stranded here in this cold atmosphere
Waiting for the lifeless words to come from your mouth
Enduring every sound

This time won't blame myself
It's been long time coming, been a long time coming
This time I know you well
It's been a long time coming, been a long time coming
Follow me they're gonna follow
Cause I'm on the inside and they're on the outside waiting
This time I know myself
It's been a long time coming, been a long time coming

So...the set is now down to $215? But no longer includes all 12 records. Only 10 now. Since it's not an actual "box set" I assume they had different amounts of each LP? Or they sold the 1000 of the ones that are no longer included?

Bundle Includes:
Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean - Orange Crush LP
Downtown Battle Mountain - Beer LP
Dance Gavin Dance - Swamp Green LP
Downtown Battle Mountain II - Sea Blue LP
Acceptance Speech - Electric Blue LP
Instant Gratification - Coke Bottle LP
Tree City - Blood Red Double LP
Mothership - Piss Yellow LP
Artificial Selection - Deep Purple LP
Summertime Gladness - Highlighter Yellow 7" Vinyl

Pretty sure I start this argument/discussion in every DGD thread that's made but WHY is Happiness at the top of most people's lists when it comes to this band?  Really, I want to hear eveyone's reasons why it's their best or whatever.

Now this is coming from someone who's a super-fan.  They're my favorite band and I love every single one of their releases.  But gun to my head I would put Happiness last if I had to rank them.  Now that I'm thinking about it, I think my reason for that is because it's the one release without Jon Mess.  It just doesn't feel like a DGD album without it.  I enjoyed Swan's screams on the album, but it just wasn't the same :(.

Happiness and DBMII are at the bottom for me, along with the ep.

EP will always hold a special place in my heart.  I first heard “The Robot vs. The Heroin Battle of Vietnam” on purevolume and at the time I had never heard anything like it before.  Went and bought the EP from Amazon right after.  At the time it was the only thing they had out too.

I couldn’t wait for DBM and I bought it the day it came out and listened to it non-stop.  I credit that album with shaping my taste in music today.  There were so many different elements and Craig/Mess’ vocals were like an angel and demon arguing back and forth on your shoulders.  Sounds corny as hell to say but that’s what I always thought of.

Okay that’s enough, sorry.

I've only heard DBM 1 & 2, Happiness and Mothership.  I just started listening to them not too long ago.  Mothership is my favorite.  I also stayed up for a bit last night and read about the history of the band.  Is Jonny Craig the popular vocalist out of the many that the band has had?  His issues with drugs and his ex-girlfriend were an interesting read.

Yeah he was the first one.  He was on Whatever I Say..., DBM, and DBM2.  He ended up being a pretty terrible human being.  And honestly I kind of stopped following what’s going on with him after DBM2.  Sucks though cause goddamn that guy can sing.

If you’re a fan of his voice, his solo album and the first 2 Emarosa full-lengths are so sooo good.
