throwgncpr
Daaaaaaaaamn, 3xLP, plus back-catalog to follow? wow.
EquinoxDesignLab
This is most excellent! Definitely did not expect 3xlp.
mcpherson123
Hope that third LP doesn't drive the cost too high. I have an original but I might like to pick this up. If they end up pressing the S/T LP I'll be happy to pick that up just to complete the discography. I have an original From The Vapor Of Gasoline and I love it. It will be really nice for more people to be able to get their hands on that one. Such a great album. Tommy

EquinoxDesignLab
Guess no 3xLP? Went with blue. Hot damn I spent a little too much this weekend and this only hurts more, but hurts so good! Tommy
mcpherson123
That's pretty expensive for a 2XLP. I'll wait to see if anyone has it cheaper.

drds89
Why am I hesitating at $40ppd for a 2xLP? edit: f___ did it for the /75 I'm part of the problem. Can't put my foot down and say no to this. Edited September 17, 2018 by drds89 Tommy

Hello Kibbe
Being that the blue, white, and black come out to a quantity of 450... I wonder if they're going to have a limited to 50 tour variant. Here's to hoping they extend this tour to the west coast. Tommy
Brody
Missed blue had to go black... Tommy
Tommy
Damn, i was so ready for this and missed the blue. Snagged a whitey also, sorry about the 3LP misinformation. When I spoke to Tom in 2015 he mentioned they were going to throw a live LP on the back. Maybe that’s the /50 tour variant? Who knows Edited September 17, 2018 by Tommy
Tommy
I’m really confused by the pressing #s. They’ve repressed Chez Viking like 4 times now and this is a much more popular release. I think there’s another 500 hidden somewhere. I remember Tom saying something about /1000.

throwgncpr
$40 shipped for a 2xLP is rough. I bit the bullet because I need this record in my life, but still... drds89
drds89
I can't believe they're playing in Richmond, VA! If they would have asked for $10 donation just to play RVA (plus ticket price), I would have chipped in that much easily to not have to drive to DC. (tries to justify paying $40ppd 2xLP)
Tommy
Long out of print and extremely hard to find on wax, the record has been re-cut by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service and will be pressed on colored vinyl with a gate-fold sleeve. To celebrate the release, the band will head out for two weeks worth of concert dates across the East coast. These shows will include two full sets — the first set consists of songs drawn from Chez Viking (2009) and New Myths (2016), followed by a second set featuring of A Data Learn the Language performed in its entirety. Some background: originally released in 2002 on CD by Tiger Style, the vinyl version of A Data Learn the Language was left to Counterflow Records. However, as that label became caught up in legal and financial difficulties, the bulk of the pressing mysteriously disappeared. Fewer than 100 copies wound up making it into circulation. THE MERCURY PROGRAM ON TOUR 11.08 - West Palm Beach, FL @ Voltaire 11.09 - Tampa, FL @ Crowbar 11.10 - Gainesville, FL @ The Wooly 11.11 - Pensacola, FL @ Cubed Luminous (Fest) 11.12 - Atlanta, GA @ The Earl * 11.13 - Chapel Hill @ Cat's Cradle * 11.14 - Richmond, VA @ Gallery 5 * 11.15 - Brooklyn, NY @ Brooklyn Bazaar 11.16 - Philadelphia, PA @ Johnny Brenda's 11.17 - Washington, DC @ Comet Ping Pong w/ TK Echo
drds89
My heart skipped a few beats reading the planned set list! (From the Gallery 5 eventbrite page) The Mercury Program "On November 2nd, Lovitt Records will reissue The Mercury Program’s third full-length A Data Learn the Language on 2xLP. Long out of print and extremely hard to find on vinyl, the record has been recut by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service and will be pressed on colored vinyl with a gatefold sleeve. To celebrate the release, the band will head out for a series of dates across the East coast. These shows will include two full sets. The first set consists primarily of material from Chez Viking (2009) and New Myths (2016), followed by a second set featuring a performance of A Data Learn the Language in its entirety."
