Stress On The Sky Posted May 17, 2019 Share Posted May 17, 2019 These are going out but weirdly got an email from RFC about a colour mix up or them not looking enough like their mock up and if I was unhappy with mine to send it back to switch it out with the reordered run. I went for the dark blue/white mix and the only difference is that instead of a dark navy blue its baby blue and there's a lot more blue than white in the mix. Still odd something so minor is making them go back to the plant. For an album that is this noisy it plays really well, its also worth noting its cut at 45rpm. My only grumble is my mail man karate chopped mine in the spine and whilst my copy of A Whole Fucking Lifetime Of This just got a crease my copy of Fucking Bliss has a tear. Not the end of the world by any means and I'm not going to put myself through the hassle of returning it for a different hue and a cosmetic bit of cover damage but a little bit of a bummer. Interesting. I’ve dragged my feet on ordering this. I don’t necessarily think the variant turned out bad at all, but just for curiosity’s sake, should I be waiting for them to announce a 2nd press if I want to roll the dice on this revised colorway? All enquires should be emailed to: [email protected] Many thanks, Kasia I guess my foggy ass brain inferred them saying they would be reprinting it but a cursory re-read of the email says they're just contacting the label who are "dealing" with the issue so a new variant is n't definitely confirmed, I wouldn't bother waiting on one as you said it turned out fine. dantheriver Posted May 18, 2019 Share Posted May 18, 2019 RFC emailed about the variant mixup, there will most certainly not be a corrected pressing: You're receiving this email because you ordered the Run For Cover exclusive variant of American Pleasure Club's new album Fucking Bliss. This is a notice to let you know that the record you'll be getting is slightly different than initially described - the record was first listed as 'Half Dark Blue & Half White,' but actually arrived as more of a baby blue color than a dark blue.
