corey.
Diggin' the new single a lot. Also curious to know how limited the purple is since I've ordered like 10 records in the last couple weeks. I think the red variant for rocket was /1000 Edited June 4, 2019 by corey.
MCDELTAT
I'll be honest and say I didn't listen to the last album, but this is super interesting single. I want to buy it, but may need to listen to his past stuff to see if I could get behind the whole LP.

I always miss out on Alex G’s colored variants because I jump on the black then another option pops up out of nowhere. Or I see the thread super late as usual. batnoises
Ordered. Glad to have a colored Alex G variant for retail. Last time I copped on time was DSU with OTs initial issue. Edited June 6, 2019 by EGsynergy
Shelby
I absolutely love Beach Music and Rocket but Gretel is better than anything on those two albums. Except maybe Judge. I'm definitely gonna wear it out before the LP drops.
bluethumb
Snatched real quick, and still getting in on an exclusive (however exclusive it may or may not be) was the icing - Gretel is a great track and feels more Rocket than anything, high hopes for the album. Dojo Daniel
Mine came in the mail today, love it but it is going to be more divisive than Rocket was. Bonus 7 inch was a nice touch

MCDELTAT
Cool need to listen to this. I've been back and forth on the songs and been trying to spend a lot more wisely on vinyl.

I agree, I thought Rocket was divisive when it can out due to the different styles/experimentation within that album.

It's funny, as a newer fan (started listening around Beach Music), I was initially far more drawn to the that album than any other, and when Rocket came out I was a huge fan but even then recognized that it was a step forward/away in production, direction, etc. from his older stuff. Having said that, I've been making my way through his back catalogue over the last year and I find myself loving Trick/DSU - would love it if this album was a mix of the old and new. Oblivions
I didn’t fully pay attention until a year or so ago after I saw him live. I *love* the live versions of his songs. He hasn’t captured that on any studio record so far but, from that catalogue, I dig Trick/DSU/Rules the most. Beach Music and Rocket have maybe more ‘mature’ songwriting but it’s not as consistent or interesting to me.
