hydro Posted February 1, 2020 Share Posted February 1, 2020 I was gifted a Yamaha P-200 (share your thoughts if you have them). Newer belt and cartridge. It has always played most 33s fine for me, especially older ones. New releases are hit or miss, with some of them playing back too fast. I've noticed it happens more with heavier weight vinyl (playing slower would make some sense to me, but speeding up is slightly baffling). Everything plays fine on a friend's more modern Audio-Technica. There isn't a simple speed adjustment, and I want to avoid turning screws and calibrating with every record switch if possible.
