Puumba Posted July 12, 2020 Share Posted July 12, 2020 Good afternoon! My wife and recently fixed up a family turntable (1960 RCA Victor) and have been happy with it thus far. The only problem we’re experiencing is when we try to play newer records with more bass or drum kicks (e.g. Metallica’s ...And Justice for All). It appears to us that the tonearm isn’t heavy enough and bounces off the record causing skips on otherwise immaculate records. I figured I should ask those with more experience for advice on how to fix our problem! Any help is appreciated, and, if I’ve posted a question that’s already been answered, my apologies!
