burnthealbum
Meh, the new normal of fleecing fans for lame pop music. Here's a more optimistic and truthful article. https://www.npr.org/2020/08/19/903547253/a-tale-of-two-ecosystems-on-bandcamp-spotify-and-the-wide-open-future
museummouth
How did some random unknown guy sell 1500 LPs for $77???
MyEnemy
Just now, museummouth said: How did some random unknown guy sell 1500 LPs for $77??? Because he’s not a random unknown guy. He’s a well known underground rapper that’s been on his shit and built his label up, in the last few years. Doesn’t hurt that his homies/label mates have gotten a good deal of notoriety as well. I said the same thing, about, 5 years ago when I did a show with him, but I saw that wasn’t true.
dawhizz
I saw this guy written up in Pitchfork recently and have been struggling to figure out these prices ever since: https://machshardlemonade.com
stl_ben
Just because you don't know who he is....doesn't make him unknown. I would say he is probably on par with all the records Daupe is putting out. Great rap records. They sell out despite the high price because it's good quality. I'm all for an artist knowing their worth and marking their prices accordingly.
