Derek™ 9,062
It's got its work cut out for itself if it ever hopes to compete with Discogs. I enjoyed have a little more control over what I got to add to my list, back when I used DF, but the database is just too detailed, expansive, and [generally] well-managed over on Discogs. Will be cool to have another avenue for finding or trading records though.
agua 449
Deadformat going was one of the big reason I slowed down collecting. I thought that site was much more manageable Wasda Deelwifkramer and thefavoriteplay
museummouth 2,643
YES. Loved their cataloging and how simple and concise it was. I hate having to look through 100+ versions on discogs for my copy. plus their forums were good for trades Wasda Deelwifkramer

justin_cole12 541
Nice! I was very sad to see it go. I loved categorizing my own records and putting info in there that I wanted and then making it all look the same. Excited!
jhulud 10,151
DF coming back is a breath of fresh air. I’m not a fan of Discogs & it feels cluttered.

TheWindBlower 551
I loved DF and was bummed to see it go, but its absence helped me really appreciate the expansiveness of Discogs. That said, I always preferred browsing other people's lists on DF over Discogs. It's so much more streamlined for quick browsing. Corgipants

mouthofinfinity 34
I hope there’s a way you can there’s a way you can import your collection from Discogs because there’s no way I’m reentering my collection to DF manually again. diabretic 257
I was juuuust thinking about DF earlier because I miss having a way to catalog my incoming records.
jhulud 10,151
I still use the good ol’ Excel spreadsheet to keep track of my collection. I tried to catalog in Discogs but it would a daunting task. beta114

V3XED 270
I would hop right back over there if it did.... but I cant say it seems like a very good idea. Going to be hard to compete for traffic or revenue with discoggs these days. I feel like they power-vaccumed up all the vinyl folk
