iwokeinrelief Posted July 9, 2021 Share Posted July 9, 2021 I think the heart of the issue that I can see is that it was made to seem like the membership would provide a member-only version of an album (which is how I read it for sure) but instead they’re sending a /2000 Rough Trade version of an album, which apparently you can still just buy on the RT site. I don’t have this yet, so no idea what is being sent. I’m interested on how RT handles month 2 of this based on the outcry, and will likely hold on to my subscription until then at least. I read "exclusive vinyl edition" thinking it would be an exclusive (to the membership) variant... which would mean it is / 500. They changed the wording on the website today from "exclusive vinyl edition" to "Rough Trade vinyl edition". Seems very bait-and-switch.
