An AT-LP120 owner here and finally looking to make some moves First thing i'm wondering about: is there an actual noticeable difference between removing the preamp and just switching the preamp off + using an outboard preamp? It seems like some people say only trained audiophiles will notice. Some other just say fuck around and rip out the preamp. Over time I intend to upgrade to… Nagaoka MP-110 cart Music Hall Mini preamp Denon PMA-600ne + I already have Klipsch bookshelf speakers I really love the LP120 build and I figure it's time to get the most out of it.
