Gumbo72203
Not sure what or where or how to note this, but for the first time that I can recall, I'm not allowed to use my ad blocker on the site here. Is that normal or a new thing? It's definitely never asked me to turn it off for years, and it won't let me access the site now unless i do that. Anybody? Zick
You mean you don't like in-post ads or when an ad pushes content down the page after it's finished loading and you click on something entirely different? AlexH. and phillybhatesme
scottheisel
Same thing here, though I'm also using DuckDuckGo and Ghostery, and those still keep ads away even after I've whitelisted the site in ABP.
satoshi
Ya'll need to switch to Brave Browser https://brave.com/download/ I made the switch last year for this stupid site alone
jhulud
I already alerted Danny about this. We shall see what develops. Ads are out of control and it's honestly making me not wanting to come here let alone do my admin stuffs b/c the ads get so cumbersome. Esp. on mobile. drawcody
If they don’t remove the ad blocker, I guess I’ll have to stop using VC. I have a whole network at blocker installed on my router. I had to disable it to come here and post this. This is how websites die.

AlexH.
Yeah when virtually all forums have been killed by Reddit/Discord/Facebook/etc. it's a huge unforced error to put an immovable adblocker-blocker on a website that actually still has users. Very stupid!
dreamover
y'all, @satoshiis right. Switch to brave. It looks like chrome, you can use chrome extensions, and it automatically blocks pop up's but isn't detectible. Switched from Chrome last week. the iPhone version is great too. satoshi
