shamrocks
Or rather, trying to go outside of d1scogs. anyone have good strategies to protect the buyer for large (>1K) purchases? Im probably naive to rely on paypal buyer protection but should that be adequate? Anyone have a good suggestion? Im not able to pick the items up directly Seller has 100% positive feedback for what its worth

Id assume buyer protection on paypal should be sufficient as long as you pay G&S and have a list of what you purchase.
stl_ben
Paypal would protect you just fine as long as you don't send Friends and Family.

phillybhatesme
I’ll echo the same sentiments. Use PayPal and send the money as Goods & Services, not Friends and Family. List what you’re buying as a comment/memo/whatever; they have a space for you to input text. PayPal should be able to handle the rest if there are any issues. They want people comfortable using their platform and protect the buyer accordingly.
